Overview

Universities UK’s policy and data analysis unit is based in the policy group. The broad aims of the unit are:

• to carry out original policy and data analysis (particularly quantitative analysis) in support of UUK’s overall strategic aims
• to lead on the analysis and development of funding policy
• to provide high-quality advice and analysis for UUK members on a wide range of higher education policy issues
• to draw together data and analysis relating to the higher education sector in the UK and its place internationally, and present key messages to a wide range of audiences
• to work with analytical and statistical teams in stakeholder organisations, including government departments, the Higher Education Statistics Agency, the Higher Education Funding Council for England, and the University and Colleges Admissions Service
