For an establishment to join the code there are two requirements. The first is for the establishment to have undertaken an independent audit against the UUK Code (see Document Library for Audit Guide Lines and Checklist). The results of the audit together with the appropriate management responses should then be submitted to the National Administrator together with the second requirement which is a covering letter from the vice-chancellor/principal.

This letter should include details of the establishment's key contact for the purposes of the CoP.

Upon receipt of the application the Sector Advisory Group will review and make a recommendation to the Governance Board. The key contact will then receive a confirmation letter from the Board of its decision.
