University of Central Lancashire - Sustainability at UCLan (link to film) This video features some of the sustainable development initiatives taking place at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). University of Central Lancashire - Don't Expect a Miracle (link to film) Martin Langhorn, a third year screenwriting undergraduate at UCLan, recently won the Environment Agency’s Tomorrow’s World award for his animated film. The film highlights the importance of preparing against flooding and the devastating effects of climate change by showing the North West submerged under floodwater. University of East Anglia Combined Heat and Power Biomass Gasifier (link to film) - The Low Carbon Innovation Centre (LCIC) at UEA has recently launched three short videos documenting the construction progress of the combined heat and power biomass gasifier at the University. University of Nottingham: NINGBO Research & Diffusion Centre, China (link to film) The University of Nottingham’s award-winning Centre for Sustainable Energy Technologies (CSET) at their Ningbo China campus. The centre was opened in 2008 and is becoming a beacon for sustainable design and practice in China. Welsh School of Architecture - Ty Unnos (link to film) Collaboration between Cardiff University's Welsh School of Architecture and Coed Cymru is helping to produce low carbon affordable housing using home-grown Welsh softwood. Ty Unnos – which means house in one night in Welsh – could offer house builders an alternative to imported timber for sustainable housing.
