The following films help bring some of the universities' sustainable development initiatives to life.  The examples below include eco-friendly campuses and the power of film to demonstrate the potential destructiveness of climate change to the planet.

University of Central Lancashire - Sustainability at UCLan (link to film)  This video features some of the sustainable development initiatives taking place at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN).



Screenshot from the University of Central LancashireUniversity of Central Lancashire - Don't Expect a Miracle (link to film) Martin Langhorn, a third year screenwriting undergraduate at UCLan, recently won the Environment Agency’s Tomorrow’s World award for his animated film.  The film highlights the importance of preparing against flooding and the devastating effects of climate change by showing the North West submerged under floodwater.

Screenshot from Welsh School of Architecture - Ty UnnosWelsh School of Architecture - Ty Unnos (link to film) Collaboration between Cardiff University's Welsh School of Architecture and Coed Cymru is helping to produce low carbon affordable housing using home-grown Welsh softwood.  Ty Unnos – which means house in one night in Welsh – could offer house builders an alternative to imported timber for sustainable housing.
