Protocol for England and Northern Ireland
Protocol for flexibility in the quality assurance system for higher education in England and Northern Ireland
This protocol has been agreed by HEFCE, DELNI, Universities UK and GuildHE (‘the sponsoring bodies’).
It explains how future flexibility in the quality assurance system for higher education in England and Northern Ireland will be managed, with particular reference to institutional review.
The protocol was recommended to the Boards by a group including the NUS, QAA and Association of Colleges, among other members.
