The Chief Executive, Nicola Dandridge, is responsible for the leadership and management of Universities UK. With its head office in Woburn House in London, Universities UK has offices in Edinburgh (Universities Scotland) and Cardiff (Higher Education Wales). The Chief Executive is appointed by the UK Board and reports to the Universities UK President.
Nicola Dandridge became Chief Executive of Universities UK in September 2009. She was previously Chief Executive of the Equality Challenge Unit , a higher education agency that works with the sector to promote equality for staff and students.
Before joining the Equality Challenge Unit, Nicola was a lawyer qualified in both England and Scotland, initially working in the City as a commercial lawyer then moving to Thompsons Solicitors, a national law firm specialising in equal opportunities and employment law.
